A distant memory from my childhood spent in the Barwon region prompted me to re-explore these bollard sculptures by Jan Mitchell, 1994. Individually I find them quite ordinary, but the fact that over 100 of these stand dispersed across the waterfront gives them a strange presence, almost inescapable.
